I had a mixed experience at Gleneagles. While the rooms were beautifully decorated and luxurious, the check-in process was quite frustrating. The dining options were impressive, especially the breakfast, but the atmosphere in some common areas felt too crowded with families. Overall, it's a lovely venue with a lot to offer, but there are areas for improvement.

The Estate Room I stayed in was large and beautifully decorated, with magnificent views of the Ochil Hills. It felt luxurious and comfortable, perfect after a long day.
Service
7.0
The service was friendly overall, but I encountered some delays and a lack of responsiveness at check-in. It's a shame because when the staff was engaged, they were quite attentive.
Location

The hotel is located in a stunning area, with easy access to beautiful landscapes. However, I found the surrounding activity options to be a bit limited for casual exploration.
Dining
8.0
Dining was a highlight, especially breakfast, which had a broad selection. However, lunch at the bar felt too family-centered, which detracted from the atmosphere.
Facilities

Facilities were impressive with plenty of activities available on site, though I found the spa experience noisy and not as relaxing as expected.

I had high expectations for my stay at Gleneagles, particularly after hearing about its renowned service and luxurious amenities. While the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, the accommodations disappointed me a bit with their outdated decor and insufficient bathroom facilities. The dining experience was splendid at the Strathearn, but I found some menu aspects somewhat lacking. Overall, the breathtaking surroundings made for a lovely retreat, but there are definitely areas that could use improvement.

Rooms

The rooms appeared a little dated and lacked the opulence I hoped for; they felt rather dark and dreary, especially the bathrooms, which were quite small.
Service

The staff members were exceptional, going above and beyond to meet our needs; however, at busy times, they seemed a bit stretched.

From the outstanding dining options to the variety of unique outdoor activities, every moment was worth savoring. Although there was a bit of a wait during breakfast, the overall quality of food and service more than made up for it. I was impressed with the luxurious facilities, making it feel like an indulgent getaway.

My stay at Gleneagles was truly unforgettable, featuring exceptional rooms and an extensive range of activities to enjoy. The staff were incredibly attentive, and the breakfast was phenomenal, setting a high standard. However, I experienced some inconsistencies in dining, particularly at the Birnam Brasserie, which didn't quite match the excellence elsewhere in the hotel. Overall, a luxurious experience that I look forward to repeating, with minor improvements needed in dining service.

Gleneagles is an exceptional resort that offers a wonderful stay, with a range of activities for everyone, even non-golfers. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, making for a comfortable retreat. While the dining experience was mostly delightful, it did have some inconsistencies. Overall, it's a luxurious experience with a lot to offer for families, though the service could use a minor adjustment in attitude at times.
